Coming Soon: Whataburger in Scottsboro

Whataburger in Scottsboro

A lot is going on around town! From new shopping centers to restaurants, one upcoming venture we can’t wait to frequent is the future Whataburger in Scottsboro.

What we know

Sitework has begun on the new Whataburger in Scottsboro, which will be located off John T. Reid Parkway across from the new (under construction) High Country Toyota dealership.

The Scottsboro location will join a growing Alabama Whataburger community. Currently, there are 24 locations across the state.

According to reports, Scottsboro Mayor Jim McCamy said the new fast food restaurant could bring a possible 90 jobs to the area.

More about Whataburger

This Texas-based burger chain was founded in 1950. Today there are more than 890 locations in 14 states across the U.S.

The idea behind Whataburger is simple. In a nutshell, the focus remains serving a good, made-to-order burger that’s so big you need two hands to hold it.

The Whataburger staple is the original, large 100 percent natural beef patty topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, diced onions and mustard on a big bun. However, the menu has much more to offer than burgers. There’s chicken, fish, salads, sides, a kids menu, breakfast and more.

Whataburger in Scottsboro will be located at 23065 John T. Reid Parkway. Not sure where that is? It is where the former Number One China Buffet off Highway 72 once stood. That means it will be less than three miles from us!

Additionally, it will be near the new Shops of Scottsboro, located on the corner of Highway 35 and Highway 72. This development will include a Publix, TJ Maxx, Pet Depot and more.
